Hotel Tugu Malang is a must-see destination by itself. Located right at the heart of the old city centre, it is an elegant mansion that tells the romantic stories of the island of Java. The proprietors’ collection of hundreds and hundreds of antiques tastefully adorn every corner of the hotel, walking guests through the heritages of the Dutch colonial era, the gradual fusion of the Indonesian and the Chinese cultures over many centuries as well as the humble beauty of traditional Indonesian masterpieces. Each of its 49 rooms and suites is designed with individual character; some have been dedicated as tributes to Indonesian art heroes of the past.

WEDDING IN THE SAHARA
Stroll hand in hand through the surreally romantic ‘Endless Love Avenue’ leading to the Sahara, where a most memorable garden wedding party under exotic palm trees and stars, lit by 8th-century Moroccan chandeliers, is to be remembered by all the guests. The Endless Love Avenue glows in shades of romance, lit by hundreds of candles, with a final destination at a giant Gustav Klimts’ “The Kiss” mosaic painting. Combine a magical 1,001 Nights themed evening with a set fine dining menu all plated beautifully, and after dancing under the stars to live tunes, return to the Apsara Residence, the chamber where the prince in the legend and the Apsara goddess dancer fell in eternal love with each other.
